We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Women's Western Wear Designer to join our dynamic design team. As the Lead Designer, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and bringing to life innovative and stylish western wear collections. You will work closely with other designers, merchandisers, and product development teams to create on-trend and marketable collections for our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for women's western wear, from concept to final product, ensuring collections align with brand vision and customer expectations.
- Create mood boards, sketches, color palettes, fabric selections, and technical specifications for new collections.
- Work closely with pattern makers, sample makers, and production teams to ensure the design is translated into high-quality products.
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques relevant to Western wear, ensuring collections are both innovative and commercially viable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and sales, to align designs with market needs and consumer preferences.
- Lead and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback on their work.
- Participate in fitting sessions, providing input on design fit, proportions, and styling.
- Ensure timelines and project deadlines are met, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Keep up to date with competitors and the broader fashion industry, identifying new trends, materials, and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in women's fashion design, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or senior designer role.
- Strong understanding of Western wear trends, fabrics, and construction.
- Excellent sketching and CAD skills, with proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and technical specifications.
- Creative and innovative thinking with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once.
- Previous experience in the western wear or lifestyle fashion category is a plus.
