Job Purpose:
Drive to Design and Develop new products and to lead engineers to achieve Design & Development goals with high quality products.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Project Management & On Time Delivery:
- Approve vehicle architecture sheet after studying application & customer details.
- Prepare project schedules, bids, or proposals.
- Coordinating, streamlining and guiding design team to complete all design related projects in a timely manner.
- Check all 3D Models, drawings, BOM, for accuracy.
- Responsible for approving inspection plan & critical dimensions adherence plan.
- Customer Focus:
- Monitor the performance of the products and achieve minimum field failures due to design defects and work towards better performing products.
- CAPA preparation.
- Design of New Products and Innovation:
- Research, Ideation, Benchmarking, Design calculations and Development of new products
- Technical Lead for all the new projects.
- FEA Execution & Study results and Verification of VA-VE Proposals.
- Initiatives towards driving innovation.
- Technical Collaboration:
- Certification & Regulatory activities calculations and documents preparation.
- ISO, TS & Audit documents preparation.
- Inventory Auditing.
- People Development:
- Guidance to team members in their day-to-day job performance.
- Technical Training & Development
