Senior Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Sr. Design Engineer with strong expertise in the design and development ofAutomotive Interior Trims, specificallyDoor Trims. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of plastics part design, tooling feasibility, and CAD systems, along with strong project execution and team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of experience in Design & Development of Automotive Interiors Trims (mainly Door Trims Experience)
• Hands on experience inCatia V5/V6(V6 experience will be preferred)
• Concept Development, Master Sections Development, Packaging & Feasibility Study, Tooling & Draft analysis.
• Solid & Surface Modelling in Catia, Assembly, 2D Drawings, Annotations, B-Side Attachment features, design detailing.
• Sound knowledge of GD&T, Locators & Fixing Strategy, Gap & Flush, Tolerance Stack up.
• Sound knowledge of Plastics Part Design, Injection Moulding, Wrapping Processes for interior trims.
• Knowledge of secondary manufacturing process like ultrasonic welding, vibration welding, Cut Sew Wrap, IMG/IMGL, Hot press lamination.
• Tooling Feasibility, Mold Flow Analysis know how, Plastic Materials Know how.
• CAD Data management, Engineering Releases, Changes management (ECR/ECN)
• Experience with PLM Tools like Team Center, Enovia VPM, WERS, Energyhub, 3DX etc for engineering releases
• Knowledge of DFMEA process, Craftsmanship & PPAP, CAE analysis,
• Should know the regulatory / certification requirements like CMVR, AIS, ECE, FMVSS, ECE R21 etc.
• Project Planning & Execution, Efforts Estimation, Team Management & Work allocation
• Team handling experience. Resource allocation, Work order planning and execution. Should be responsible for Quality, Cost & Delivery
• Project Review meetings, Design Reviews with Customer and internal stake holders/CFTs.
• Customer handling & interaction. Technical Review sign-off with customer.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
