Role Description The Senior Design Engineer – Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for leading the design and engineering of mechanical and structural components for multi-level car parking systems, from concept through detailed design. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing feasibility studies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

The Senior Design Engineer will collaborate with sales, project, and installation teams to translate client requirements into practical, efficient solutions and support them with technical documentation. The role also involves optimizing existing designs, troubleshooting design-related issues on projects, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in core engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with experience in designing complex mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in 3D Modelling & Drafting (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, CATIA), Structural Analysis ( STAAD.pro, SAP2000, ANSYS)
  • Proficiency in Engineering Expertise ( Gearboxes, Hydraulic systems, Chain Drives, Sensor Integration, Steel Fabrication )
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles as they relate to automated parking systems, control panels, and system integration.
  • Experience in Product Design, including translating functional requirements into robust, safe, and cost-effective MLCP solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in design and development of parking systems, material handling equipment, industrial machinery, or similar engineered products.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards, safety regulations, and structural considerations for multi-level mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, site constraints, and client requirements and convert them into practical design outputs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers
