Role Overview

The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end design, detailing, and engineering coordination of monolithic aluminium formwork systems for residential, high-rise, and mass housing RCC projects. This role is critical in ensuring structural accuracy, constructability, repetition efficiency, and smooth site execution.

The position requires strong technical expertise in formwork planning, RCC drawings interpretation, system optimization, and cross-functional coordination with manufacturing, sales, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare shell drawings, modulation drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings for aluminium monolithic formwork systems.

Develop formwork offer and tender drawings to support techno-commercial proposals and pre-order discussions.

Prepare accurate area calculations, material take-offs, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for estimation and execution purposes.

Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to address technical queries, understand project-specific requirements, and ensure correct product application.

Prepare formwork assembly drawings for awarded and ongoing projects to support smooth site execution.

Conduct site visits, when required, to validate drawings, resolve execution issues, and incorporate site feedback into design updates.

Maintain proper documentation, drawing records, revisions, and project-wise filing in line with company standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech)

Experience

610 years of experience in aluminium formwork / monolithic formwork system design

Prior experience with residential high-rise or mass housing projects is mandatory

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)

Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is an added advantage

Sound understanding of RCC structures, construction sequencing, and formwork cycles

Ability to prepare accurate BOMs and material take-offs
