We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer / Design Lead from the furniture manufacturing industry who can lead the design and estimation team and drive product development, value engineering, and cost optimization.

Working: 6 Days a Week

To ensure relevant applications, please apply only if you meet ALL of the following criteria:
Minimum 5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing industry
Minimum 2 years of experience managing a design or estimation team
Strong experience in office furniture such as workstations, desks, storage, sofas, and modular systems
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and furniture construction drawings
Experience in BOQ preparation and cost estimation
Applicants from interior design firms, architecture firms, or residential furniture companies without manufacturing exposure may not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Team Leadership
Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers and Estimation Engineers
Review and approve technical drawings, BOQs, and estimates
Ensure designs meet client requirements, production feasibility, and cost targets
Improve design workflow, documentation, and drawing standards
2. Value Engineering & Cost Optimization
Drive material optimization and cost reduction initiatives
Identify alternative materials and construction techniques
Work with estimation team to ensure competitive and accurate costing
3. Project Design Support
Provide design support to sales and project teams
Prepare technical drawings, BOQs, and product specifications
Support customized furniture requirements for client projects
4. Cross Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Project teams
Ensure design feasibility for manufacturing and installation
Required Technical Skills
AutoCAD Advanced proficiency
Microsoft excel - Advanced proficiency
Strong knowledge of furniture construction and hardware
Experience in BOQ preparation and cost estimation
Detailed Understanding of materials used in office furniture manufacturing
Experience working with CRM systems for project tracking and coordination
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in furniture manufacturing industry
At least 2 years experience leading a design and estimation team
Experience in office furniture manufacturing companies strongly preferred
