Job Description: Senior Design Engineer Solar EPC (Electrical)

Role Overview :-

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Design Engineer (Electrical) with strong expertise in Solar EPC design for both utility-scale (10 MWp) and rooftop solar systems (1 MWp). The candidate will independently lead all aspects of electrical engineering, design development, and technical coordination.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and power evacuation analysis.
• Perform solar resource assessment, energy estimation, and shadow analysis.
• Develop complete electrical designs including plant layouts, DC/AC sizing, cable sizing, inverter/transformer selection, and substation design.
• Prepare SLDs, GA drawings, BoM, DPR, costing sheets, and all technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to IEC, IS, and BIS standards.
• Support FAT/SAT activities and provide engineering coordination as required.
• Lead and mentor the Design & Engineering team.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, procurement, and internal teams.
• Implement design optimization and propose innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements :-

• Highly experienced professional with strong, proven expertise in:
• Ground-mounted solar plants (10 MWp)
• Rooftop solar systems (1 MWp)
• Independent handling of complete electrical design

Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering (M.Tech preferred).

Software Skills: PVsyst, AutoCAD (2D/3D), SketchUp, MS Office.

Technical Expertise: Electrical standards, system sizing, layouts, cable calculations, drawings, EPC workflows.
