Job Description:
Designation: Sr. Engineer Design
Reporting to : Project Lead
Location : Bangalore, Full Time
Qualification : B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Experience : 3 - 6 Years
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
- Experience in overall New Product Development (preferably from Pump Industry but not limited to it)
- Strong technical knowledge in casting & Plastic design, as well as general engineering and fluid mechanical concepts
- Proficiency in any CAD software (Preferably SolidWorks) & PDM
- Demonstrate VA/VE implementation skills as applies to simplification or modularization of a commodity category
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Exposure in creating Proof of Concepts, prototyping and testing such as product performance tests, reliability tests, etc.
- Exposure to manufacturing environment and supplier coordination as required
- Flexible in adapting quickly to changing business needs and project priorities
- Experience in working with global engineering team (Preferably with US teams)
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications, progress reports, and change orders.
- Experience in design calculations, GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis, DFMEA, DFM and DFA
