About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Automation Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our engineering digital transformation team. You will be the bridge between complex mechanical engineering requirements and seamless software automation.

In this role, you won't just be using CAD tools—you will be building them. You will leverage your deep expertise in the Creo ecosystem and .NET development to architect, develop, and deploy custom tools that eliminate manual design bottlenecks and drive parametric excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop & Optimize: Design and maintain robust CAD automation tools using Creo Pro/Toolkit, J-Link, and VB API.
  • System Integration: Create custom applications and plugins for AutoCAD using the .NET framework to streamline drafting workflows.
  • Full-Stack Tooling: Build desktop and web-based engineering utilities using C#, VB .NET, and modern web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS).
  • Database Management: Architect and manage back-end data structures in MS SQL and MS Access to support automated design configurations.
  • Parametric Leadership: Drive the strategy for complex parametric and schematic modeling standards across the organization.
  • Mentorship: Lead technical code reviews and mentor junior engineers on CAD API best practices.
Technical Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years in Design Automation or Engineering Software Development.
  • CAD Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Creo Parametric, Creo Schematics, and AutoCAD.
  • API Expertise: Proven track record with Creo Pro/Toolkit (C++), J-Link (Java), Creo VB API, and AutoCAD .NET.
  • Programming: Strong command of C#, VB .NET, and C/C++.
  • Web & UI: Experience building intuitive interfaces using WinForms, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Data: Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server and MS Access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) is a significant plus.
  • A product mindset—the ability to turn a vague engineering request into a polished, user-friendly software tool.
