Senior Deltek Costpoint Functional/Technical Consultant

About the Job: FedTec is seeking a Senior Deltek Costpoint Consultant with 5+ years of US GovCon Costpoint experience to support and optimize Costpoint modules including CCM, Cognos BI, and Planning. You will partner with US-based project managers, finance, and business development leadership as part of our global delivery team. The initial six-month focus is on activating underutilized Costpoint modules, building reporting capability, and integrating Costpoint data with our Microsoft 365 / Power BI ecosystem. After the initial phase, the role transitions into ongoing Costpoint administration, enhancement, and second-tier support for the broader business.

About us: We are a US federal contractor managing 50+ active US government contracts on Deltek Costpoint. We are expanding our Costpoint capability team in India to support activation and optimization of Costpoint modules across the organization, with initial focus on Contract Management (CCM), Costpoint BI (Cognos), and Costpoint Planning.

Title: Senior Deltek Costpoint Functional/Technical Consultant

Location: Remote (India) — preferred cities Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, NCR, or Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: 5+ years

Shift: US Eastern Time overlap required — typically 2 PM – 11 PM IST

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days preferred; up to 60 days considered for strong candidates

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Deltek Costpoint experience in a US federal contractor environment (US GovCon experience is mandatory; commercial Costpoint experience alone does not qualify)
• Demonstrable, project-level experience with Costpoint Contract Management (CCM) — module setup, contract and modification entry workflows, funding and ceiling tracking, CDRL configuration
• Cognos / Costpoint BI report development — custom report creation, data model understanding, report publishing, and tuning
• Working knowledge of Costpoint Planning for project budgeting and resource forecasting
• Strong understanding of US federal contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ/TO) and federal accounting concepts (DCAA, indirect rates, funded vs. ceiling value)
• SQL proficiency for Costpoint database queries and data extraction
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Willingness and ability to work US Eastern Time overlap hours on a sustained basis

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience working with a Deltek services partner (NeoSystems, Aurora Solutions, BCS, Strategic Insight, Baker Tilly, or equivalent)
• Costpoint API / web services integration experience
• Power BI integration to Costpoint data
• GovWin IQ familiarity
• DCAA audit and compliance exposure

Responsibilities

• Activate and configure Costpoint CCM module across the project portfolio
• Audit, enhance, and surface Cognos reports for project managers and business development
• Configure Costpoint Planning for project resource forecasting
• Design and document data integration with SharePoint and Power BI
• Deliver knowledge transfer and training to internal PMO and finance team
• Provide ongoing Costpoint administration, troubleshooting, and enhancement post initial phase
