Title: Senior Datadog Architect & Implementation
Engineer

Role Summary

This person will own the Datadog side of a multi-account
AWS observability rollout across Dev, UAT, and Prod for a portfolio of AI agent
solutions using Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Lambda, and ECS. This is a hands-on
implementation role, not an advisory position. The expectation is working
software by the end of the engagement: live dashboards, correctly firing
alerts, and visible traces.

Responsibilities

1. Design and deploy the organization-wide AWS
integration using CloudFormation StackSets across Dev, UAT, and Prod, including
the cross-account IAM role.

2. Build and maintain the CloudWatch Logs-to-Datadog
pipeline using the Forwarder Lambda and subscription filters, along with the
metrics polling configuration.

3. Enable CloudWatch Transaction Search and configure
Datadog's AWS X-Ray integration for AgentCore trace and span data.

4. Build tag-driven dashboards and cost/token-usage views
by environment and solution, using the AWS tag taxonomy.

5. Define and tune alert thresholds and monitors,
configure notification routing, and support the Datadog platform in production.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Datadog implementation experience,
including AWS metrics polling and log forwarding through the Datadog Forwarder
Lambda in a multi-account environment.

• AWS Organizations, CloudFormation StackSets,
cross-account IAM roles, and organization-wide rollout experience.

• Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, AWS X-Ray,
distributed tracing, metrics, and logs.

• Hands-on experience with Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and
CloudWatch Logs and Metrics.

• Ability to implement against an existing architecture
and work through security and compliance IAM reviews.

• Strong cross-team delivery and production support
experience.

Please prioritize candidates who have personally implemented
Datadog in a multi-account AWS environment, rather than candidates who have
only used Datadog dashboards and monitors.
