Position Summary: We are looking for aDatabase Administrator (DBA)to join ourCloud Infrastructure Engineeringdivision in Bangalore. This team ensures thecontinuous availabilityof the technologies and systems that form the foundation ofathenahealth's services. We managethousands of servers,petabytes of storage, and handlethousands of web requests per second, all while supporting rapid growth.

The Team: We are a group ofSite Reliability Engineersfocused onreliability,automation, andscalability. We work inagile frameworks, support systems inprivate and public cloud, and prioritizedata-driven decisions.

Job Responsibilities

• Applyresilience engineeringprinciples to ensurestability,security, andscalability.
• Use technologies likeAWS,Terraform, andOracleto drive product success.
• Developautomated solutionsfordatabase administrationandinfrastructure tasks.
• Design and implement services aligned withInfrastructure-as-Code (IaC)principles.
  

Typical Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ yearsof experience withhighly available systemsand services.
• Expertise inOS and database tuningfor performance and scalability.
• Strong understanding ofrelational database designandSQL.
• Experience withOracle tools,version upgrades,migrations, andpatching.
• Knowledge ofmulti-tenancy,GoldenGate, andDataGuard.
• Proficiency inOEM,RMAN catalog, andPL/SQL.
• Experience withenterprise server,storage, andnetworking architecture.
• Hands-onPostgreSQL DBAexperience in a24x7 production environment.
• Familiarity withserver lifecycle workflows.
• Ability to drivesystem visibilityfor rapid issue resolution.
• Experience withAWS services:EC2,RDS,S3,CloudFormation,Lambda,ECS/EKS,Load Balancing, etc.
• Exposure toPuppetandTerraform.
• Proficiency inscripting/programming:Ansible,Python,Shell.
• Experience withSRE/DevOps principles,CI/CD,Bitbucket/GitHub.
• Familiarity withmonitoring tools:Prometheus,Alertmanager,Grafana.
• Experience withGenAIis a plus.
