Senior Database / Platform Engineering Consultant

About the role

• Work with a high-growth, US-based AI-first product company
• Build and scale production-grade data and platform infrastructure
• High-ownership role with direct impact on core systems

What we're looking for

• 8–12 years in database / platform engineering
• Strong IC with experience in production systems at scale
• Startup or fast-paced environment preferred

Core skills

• Deep expertise in MySQL / PostgreSQL (TB-scale systems)
• Strong understanding of performance, scaling, HA/DR, replication
• Hands-on with Kubernetes (stateful workloads)
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP
• Familiarity with Terraform / Helm or similar tooling

Nice to have

• Exposure to LLMs / AI tooling (APIs, automation, workflows)
• Experience with database proxies (e.g., ProxySQL)

Systems & operations

• Strong Bash / Python scripting
• Solid Linux debugging skills (CPU, memory, disk, networking)
• Experience handling production issues, on-call, incident response

Role structure
