Role: Senior Database Administrator

Job Location: Gurgaon (WFO

Responsibilities:

Own end-to-end performance, availability, scalability, and security of MySQL/Aurora database systems.

Perform advanced MySQL query optimization, slow query analysis, indexing strategy, schema review, and tuning for high

volume OLTP workloads.

Drive MySQL upgrades, migrations, performance benchmarking, and version improvements.

Deep dive into performance bottlenecks involving query execution plans, locks, replication lag, buffer tuning, and storage

engine analysis.

Manage and optimize MongoDB (sharding, replica sets, indexes, schema planning, lifecycle management).

Implement and manage partitioning, sharding, data lifecycle management, and archival strategies.

Troubleshoot production issues quickly and provide long-term fixes to improve reliability.

Collaborate closely with engineering teams, providing guidance on schema design, query best practices, and

databasefriendly architectures.

Automate monitoring, alerting, backup, and recovery workflows.

Contribute to scaling strategies, capacity planning, and infrastructure improvements for large-scale production systems.

Requirements:

Years of Experience: 2 - 5 years

Strong hands-on experience with MySQL (MySQL/Aurora).

Strong knowledge of MongoDB (sharding, replica sets, indexes, schema design).

Experience handling high volume OLTP workloads.

Knowledge of partitioning, sharding & data lifecycle management.

Ability to troubleshoot production issues quickly

Ownership mindset & ability to work with engineering teams.

Preferred- Knowledge of Kafka / Redis / Elasticsearch
