Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Data Tester who will be responsible for data testing activities in the MarkLogic database. Able to provide Test strategy and identify the risks, dependencies.
- The Data Tester is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and reliability of data used within an organization.
- This role involves the evaluation of data sources, validation of data integrity, and the execution of data tests to identify issues and discrepancies.
- The Data Tester works closely with data analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to maintain and enhance data quality throughout the data lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Test current products and identifying deficiencies in Datawarehouse or Data Hub.
- Suggest solutions to identified product problems.
- Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Development team to ensure consistent project execution.
- Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.
- Oversee continuous improvement projects.
- Collect quality data.
- Monitor daily and weekly run regression tests and help with maintenance, operations, and release activities.
- Be an active participant in product requirements, functional specification, and design specification reviews.
- Possess good communication skills to interact with both local and remote teams effectively.
Requirements:
- 4 - 8 years of experience in QA engineering position.
- Strong ETL Data testing experience using SQL in Data Warehouse or Data Lake or Data Hub.
- Should be able to develop Test strategy and Test plan if required.
- Experience with building/maintaining test framework, tools.
- Familiarity with various Document and data formats – JSON, XML and familiarity with search technologies.
- Enterprise-level databases experience (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL or any NoSQL database) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
