Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, with proven experience in machine learning, statistical analysis, (Gen) AI and big data technologies in the Google Cloud and Big Query platform landscape. You will lead projects from conception to deployment and collaborate with cross-functional teams spread across the globe to drive innovation and improve our data-driven decision-making processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to solve complex problems in Omni-retail industry landscape (typically covering predictive models, recommendation engines, text mining etc.)
• Lead the data-driven decision-making process, from data collection and analysis collaborating with data engineers & data analysts and ensuring data availability & quality to implementation and monitoring/tracking of (data science) solutions
• Manage data science projects covering end to end workflow, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time (sales forecast, lost sales, price intelligence, marketing mix modelling, (e)CLV etc.)
• Ensure the models are developed in compliance with the regulations (focusing primarily on EU e.g., AI Act, GDPR) and proactively mitigate bias to support fair and ethical outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and objectives, translating complex data into actionable insights to communicate & present it to the non-technical teams too
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science, machine learning and (Gen) AI continuously improving our methodologies and technologies

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field and high level of English proficiency.
• The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably within Ecommerce, Retail, Consume goods, or a related data-intensive industry.
• Possess strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization, with proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and cloud platforms (GCP & GBQ) is highly valued.
• Familiarity to operate with the Gen AI and LLMs platforms like Gemini, Vertex AI etc. is highly desirable
• They are a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• The successful candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives when solving challenging problems that impact performance and outcomes.
