We are actively hiring for a long-term Senior Data Scientist opportunity with leading clients: Sutherland and Charles River Laboratories.

Location: Remote

Duration: 2+ Years (High possibility of extension)

We are specifically looking for candidates with strong clinical/laboratory experience. Experience in Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or Animal Clinical environments is a HUGE PLUS and can significantly improve interview chances.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree with 5+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in:

• Data Science
• Computer Science
• Statistics
• Operations Research
• Applied Mathematics
• Applied Physics
• Related fields

Core Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong data visualization and storytelling skills
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Life sciences industry experience preferred

Technical Expertise

5+ years of hands-on experience with:

• SQL
• PySpark
• Python
• Pandas
• Scala

3+ years of experience across the full Machine Learning lifecycle

Experience working with large and complex datasets

Strong experience with Generative AI technologies, including:

• Scientific document summarization and generation
• Prompt engineering
• Retrieval pipelines (RAG)

LLM fine-tuning for domain-specific applications
