ETS is a global leader in educational assessment and research, driven by a mission to advance quality and equity in learning. We're looking for a visionary Senior Data Scientist to join our India team and lead data-driven initiatives that shape the future of education.

About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist (Market & Research), you'll be at the forefront of transforming how ETS understands and engages learners. You'll lead end-to-end data science projects that support marketing, sales, and product strategydeveloping predictive models, uncovering insights, and building scalable data solutions that personalize learning experiences across the globe.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in complexity, values innovation, and wants to make a difference in education through data.

Job Description:

  • Lead the development of user data footprints across digital learning, teaching, and assessment platforms.
  • Architect and automate data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Design and implement preprocessing workflows including cleaning, transformation, and reduction.
  • Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to uncover trends and drive personalization.
  • Apply ensemble modeling techniques to support adaptive learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into product and marketing strategies.
  • Develop interactive, AI-enabled prototypes that incorporate cognitive science principles.
  • Create compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with QA, documentation, and ethical standards.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to ETS's global data science community.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning using Python, R, and SQL.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights through data visualization and storytelling.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and building scalable data architectures.
  • Strong understanding of educational data, learner behavior, or cognitive science is a plus.
  • Passion for innovation, collaboration, and making a global impact through education.
  • This is not an IT Role.
