Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with strong hands-on expertise in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Advanced Analytics, along with proven Telecom domain experience.

The role involves developing and deploying end-to-end AI/ML solutions for use cases such as customer analytics, network intelligence, churn prediction, fraud detection and GenAI applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy ML/DL models for telecom use cases.
• Build GenAI solutions using LLMs, Transformers, RAG, OpenAI, Hugging Face and LangChain.
• Perform EDA, feature engineering, model selection, training and evaluation.
• Manage the complete ML lifecycle from data preparation through production deployment and monitoring.
• Implement MLOps, CI/CD, model monitoring and production optimization.
• Optimize models for performance and latency.
• Collaborate with network, marketing, IT and business teams on AI/ML initiatives.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI/ML tools and frameworks.
• Mentor junior Data Scientists/Data Engineers where required.

Mandatory Skills

• 6–9 years of Data Science / ML / DL experience.
• 3–4 years hands-on GenAI / LLM experience.
• Telecom domain experience – Mandatory.
• Hands-on GPT/BERT/Llama, Transformers, RAG and LangChain.
• Strong Python.
• Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch and/or Hugging Face.
• Strong ML/DL fundamentals, including CNNs and Advanced Analytics.
• End-to-end ML lifecycle and MLOps experience.
• Production deployment using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow and FastAPI.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong SQL and exposure to Spark/Hive and data pipelines.

Good to Have

• Vector databases and embeddings.
• Advanced RAG architectures.
• Kafka/Flink or real-time ML inference.
• Telecom network analytics, geo-spatial modelling or customer behaviour modelling.
• AI/ML project leadership or mentoring experience.

Candidate Requirements

• Immediate joiner.
• Willing to work WFO from Pune.
• Comfortable with IST general shift.
• Relevant Telecom experience is mandatory.
• Comfortable with 3 virtual interview rounds.

Important: Candidates must have 3–4 years of hands-on GenAI experience + Telecom domain experience. Generic Data Science profiles with limited/recent GenAI exposure should not be considered.
