Our Analytics team uses unique, proprietary ad tech data to drive business impact. The Senior Data Scientist partners closely with team members to solve complex marketing and customer‑centric problems and helps shape best‑in‑class analytical solutions. As a senior data scientist for Technical Account Analytics within the Epsilon Digital Media Solutions division, you will be the key link between client strategy and data execution. You'll use your expertise in technical data mining, SQL, and analytical methodology to evaluate campaign effectiveness and mine extensive data sets for insights on media and consumer behavior, ultimately driving measurable client and Epsilon business outcomes. This role relies on deep technical expertise in data engineering, advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team to provide performance measurement and actionable insights for client program optimization.
  • Build and maintain analytics tools with minimal supervision
  • Proactively find opportunities for novel analysis and new measurement methods
  • Mentor and coach other team members in analytical procedures and performance criteria.
  • Lead the translation of complex business objectives into an analysis plan and present results as a clear, data-driven story.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on product enhancements and scalable reporting for internal teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, computer science, economics, marketing, mathematics, statistics or other related fields
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • SQL and Python programming experience required
  • Familiarity with other data tools (e.g., R, SAS) is a plus
  • Exposure to direct marketing analytics is preferred
  • Capable of presenting and telling data stories to diverse groups of people

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of online advertising and online advertising methods, including remarketing and behavioral targeting
  • Ability and willingness to manage multiple analyses and project tasks simultaneously and independently.
  • Ability to process large datasets, including advertising impression data, site visitation, and online ecommerce databases
  • Experience using digital measurement and reporting tools like Google DCM, Google Analytics, Adobe etc.
  • Experience with standard industry data tools (e.g., DataBricks, PSQL, BigQuery, AWS Redshift)
  • Comfortable with existing industry BI/Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of MarTech and AdTech competitive landscape
  • Understanding of marketing measurement solutions (e.g. Media Mix Models, Fractional Attribution)
  • Familiarity working at media agency, media publisher or MarTech/AdTech company
  • Understanding of predictive modeling techniques
