Senior Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities

● Design and implement LLM-powered features for healthcare workflows.

● Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using proprietary healthcare datasets.

● Fine-tune or adapt open-source models such as LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, or similar architectures.

● Develop AI pipelines for clinical documentation, summarization, and decision-support automation.

● Build and maintain embedding pipelines and vector database architectures.

● Implement AI safety mechanisms including hallucination reduction, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks.

● Optimize model inference for latency, reliability, and cost efficiency.

● Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy AI workloads using AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.

● Establish model governance, monitoring, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.

● Work with product and clinical stakeholders to translate healthcare workflows into AI-driven automation solutions.

● Document model architecture, data flows, and system design for production deployment.

Required Skills and Experience

● 6–10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI engineering.

● Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP systems, or generative AI architectures.

● Strong understanding of RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector search systems.

● Experience working with Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch / TensorFlow).

● Experience building production AI systems, not just experimentation.

● Experience deploying ML systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms.

● Strong knowledge of data pipelines, model evaluation, and AI system monitoring.

● Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on scalable production architectures.

Preferred Experience

● Experience working with healthcare data or regulated environments (HIPAA, PHI, etc.).

● Experience building LLM applications using LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.

● Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector.

● Experience with GPU workloads, containerization, and MLOps pipelines.

● Experience implementing AI guardrails, hallucination detection, and explainability methods.
