You will work as a Decision Scientist, owning end-to-end problem solving to drive business outcomes across acquisition, cross-sell, and engagement. You will also guide junior team members through structured problem solving, analytics best practices, and review of outputs.

About the Team: Aditya Birla Capital Digital (ABCD)

. ABCD was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Capital in 2023 to distribute financial services products and deliver digital services to customers, including web-based services, personal finance management, payments and allied activities.

. ABCD is building an omni-channel D2C platform (app and website) to acquire and serve customers seamlessly. It also runs virtual engagement through inbound/outbound calling and drives cross-sell for walk-in branch customers.

. ABCD partners with ABCL subsidiaries & other financial services providers to deliver a personalized, seamless omni-channel experience for new and existing customers - building capacity and productivity through investments in talent, technology, marketing, and data & analytics.

About the Role: Analytics & Data Science

We are looking for a Decision Scientist with strong analytical problem-solving skills to translate customer and business data into actionable decisions and strategies across lending, insurance, mutual funds, and payments. This role will focus on:

• Driving insights → actions (who to target, what to offer, when, via which channel)
• Building strong BI + measurement + experimentation foundations to scale learning and performance
• Using an AI-first approach to accelerate analysis, automate repeatable work, and enable faster decisioning with appropriate controls

Key responsibilities

• . Own endtoend problem solving: translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
• . Build and automate BI frameworks (dashboards, KPIs, cohorts) to track funnel, campaign, and channel performance.
• . Drive acquisition, upsell & cross-sell strategies through customer segmentation, targeting, and Next Best Action / Offer (NBA/NBO) frameworks across channels
• . Design and analyse experiments (A/B, champion-challenger) to quantify impact and drive continuous improvement.
• . Deliver advanced analytics (propensity, churn indicators, LTV proxies) and partner for deployment into business workflows.
• . Leverage AI-first approaches to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and embed data-driven decisioning into business processes.
• . Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior analysts to ensure high-quality, structured outputs and adoption of insights.

What you bring

• Bachelor's/Master's in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Data Science, or other quantitative disciplines.
• 3-9 years of experience in analytics/decision science/business analytics (financial services preferred customer/channel/campaign analytics exposure is a plus).
• Strong hands-on skills in SQL + Python (PySpark preferred) comfort working with large datasets on cloud/legacy environments.
• Solid understanding of measurement, experimentation, and analytical problem solving ability to convert insights into clear business actions.
• AI-first mindset: practical experience using AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and analytics throughput, with awareness of safe/compliant usage of GenAI with enterprise data.
• Strong communication skills - ability to present structured insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to guide junior analysts (review outputs, suggest approaches, raise quality bar) while remaining a strong individual contributor.
