Senior Data QA Engineer - GTG - BLR

The Data Quality & Governance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that data across our consumer data platform is accurate, consistent, well-documented, and trustworthy. This role focuses on implementing frameworks and processes that maintain high data integrity a foundation for all analytics, insights, and activation use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for our product analytics platform (Amplitude), driving adoption and ensuring end-to-end data integrity.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track user engagement, feature adoption, and campaign performance.
• Implement and manage automated data quality testing and validation frameworks within ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., dbt tests, Great Expectations).
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using SQL and GraphQL to identify root causes of data quality issues.
• Own and manage the data quality assurance framework, proactively investigating, triaging, and resolving data issues.
• Partner with source system owners and analysts to define, document, and enforce data standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

Must-Have:

• 4+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or related data engineering roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL for data profiling, analysis, and validation.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT development and data modeling concepts.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.

Desired Skills

• Programming experience inPythonfor developing custom data quality checks and automation.
• Experience working withcloud data warehouse platformssuch asSnowflake.
• Familiarity withdata privacy regulationsanddata governance frameworks.

Eligibility / Qualifications:

• Education: 4-year IT degree or equivalent
• Experience: 4 - 6 years
