We are looking for a highly skilledSenior Data Modelerwith extensive experience indata modeling, SQL, metadata management, and data governance. The ideal candidate will have expertise inrelational, dimensional, and analytic data modelingwith hands-on experience in databases likeOracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata. Strong knowledge ofdata governance, data cataloging tools (Alation, Collibra), and metadata repositoriesis essential.
- Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintainrelational, dimensional, and analytical data modelsfor large-scaleOLTP and analytical systems.
- Perform hands-ondata modeling, ER diagramming, and enterprise software designfor diverse data ecosystems.
- Define and enforcedata modeling standards and best practicesfor scalable and high-performance solutions.
- Work withSQL databasessuch asOracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata, optimizing performance and query tuning.
- Collaborate withcross-functional teams (engineers, architects, product managers)to translate business requirements intoeffective data models.
- Implementmetadata management, data lineage, and data catalogingusing tools likeAlation and Collibra.
- Ensure dataaccuracy, completeness, and consistencyacross data models and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Supporthistory handling, time-series data warehousing, and complex data transformations.
- Assist teams inadopting data modeling best practicesfor global, large-scale data-driven implementations.
- Contribute todata governanceinitiatives and establish acentralized metadata repository.
- Work in afast-paced, agile environmentwith short release cycles and iterative development methodologies.
- Required Skills:7+ years of experiencein relational, dimensional, and analytical data modeling.
- StrongSQLskills with hands-on experience inOracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata.
- Experience withdata modeling tools(Erwin, ER Studio, or similar).
- Expertise indata governance processesandmetadata repositories.
- Knowledge ofsemantic data modeling conceptsandmulti-fact modeldesigns.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact withengineers, architects, and product managers.
- Ability to work onmultiple projects/products simultaneouslywith minimal specifications.
- Experience inAlation and Collibrafordata cataloging and data lineage tracking.
