About The Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially aware Trade Analyst to join our War Room team. This role sits at the intersection of global trade, geopolitics, economics, and export strategy, with a specific focus on the international Basmati rice market.
You will monitor geopolitical developments, trade regulations, competitor activities, currency movements, and global demand trends, transforming complex information into actionable intelligence that supports key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Track geopolitical, economic, and trade developments impacting global Basmati exports
- Monitor currency fluctuations and prepare risk/opportunity advisories
- Develop market intelligence reports, forecasts, dashboards, and management briefs
- Identify emerging opportunities and risks affecting export business performance
- Support business development, pricing decisions, and strategic planning with data-driven insights
- Prepare market research reports and competitor intelligence for leadership review
Required Qualifications
- MBA (International Trade), MA Economics, International Relations, Business Analytics, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in Trade Analysis, Market Intelligence, Economic Research, Export Strategy, or related roles
- Strong understanding of international trade, agricultural exports, and global market dynamics
- Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Gulf, UK, South Asian, or North American export markets
