At our core, we're a data company. The real value we create for customers comes from the operational data their frontline teams generate every day — completed checklists, raised tickets, resolution times. Turning that raw activity into insight is central to our product, not a side function of it.

Role Description

We're looking for someone to take ownership of analytics at Linemate — hands-on SQL and dashboard-building in Metabase, combined with a constant focus on finding the best ways to show customers the value in their own data.

This isn't a request-driven reporting role — the mandate is broader: continuously exploring new formats, metrics, and angles that make our product's value visible and tangible to customers, informed by their feedback and how they actually use the platform. You'll work closely with our tech and product teams to shape how data appears within the product itself, and you'll bring strong business judgment to every dashboard, report, or insight you build.

You'll also play a central role in how we use AI at Linemate — not just to speed up writing SQL, but to actively uncover deeper, more valuable insights for customers than we could generate manually.

This role reports directly to the COO and carries significant autonomy and visibility from day one.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain SQL queries and dashboards in Metabase
• Continuously find and build the best ways to surface customer value through data — reports, dashboards, and in-product formats
• Use customer feedback and usage patterns to identify new reporting and insight opportunities
• Partner with product and tech teams on how data is presented to end users within the platform
• Actively apply AI tools to extract deeper, more valuable insights for customers — not just to accelerate SQL writing
• Maintain data quality and consistency standards across our BI environment
• Translate operational data into insights relevant to both internal stakeholders and customers

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, ideally within a B2B SaaS or startup environment
• Strong, independent SQL skills — able to write, debug, and optimize complex queries without support
• Hands-on experience building dashboards in a BI tool; Metabase experience strongly preferred
• Genuine fluency with AI tools — used broadly to generate deeper insights, not just to write queries faster
• Strong business and product thinking — able to translate operational data into insights relevant to non-technical stakeholders and customers
• Self-directed, comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first environment
• Prior exposure to frontline operations tooling, workforce management platforms, or WhatsApp-based products is a plus
