Role Overview
Zywave is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern data stack technologies, building scalable data pipelines, and supporting analytics-driven product platforms. Experience in product-based organizations and the insurance domain is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows.
- Build and maintain data models using DBT.
- Develop and manage cloud-based data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
- Write efficient and optimized queries using SQL.
- Develop automation and data processing scripts using Python.
- Manage source control and collaboration using Git.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product, analytics, and engineering teams in an Agile setup.
- Support performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data systems.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Solid expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with Git
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in modern cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Insurance domain
- Background in Product-based organizations
- Exposure to modern data architecture and analytics platforms
- Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and performance optimization
