Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, SQL, Airflow, and Cosmos to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines. The role combines deep technical skills, strong data modelling knowledge, and effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using DBT, Airflow, and Cosmos.
2. Build and optimize complex SQL transformations for large‑scale datasets.
3. Implement analytics engineering best practices and robust data models.
4. Orchestrate, monitor, and optimize workflow reliability and performance.
5. Collaborate with analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
6. Ensure data quality, governance, and thorough documentation.
7. Troubleshoot pipeline and performance issues.
8. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.

Required Skills:

1. Strong hands‑on experience with DBT (modeling, testing, documentation).
2. Advanced SQL with performance tuning experience.
3. Expertise in Apache Airflow orchestration.
4. Familiarity with Cosmos or similar orchestration frameworks.
5. Solid knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
6. Experience with AWS, especially Redshift and S3.
7. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
8. Experience with GitHub-based CI/CD and Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5–10 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
