Driven Data Solutions Provider is Looking for:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data engineering platform that powers intelligent suggestions for pharmaceutical sales representatives.

The role focuses on building scalable, reusable solutions that can be deployed across multiple countries and business environments. The engineer will also play a key role in migrating the existing suggestion platform to a new CRM ecosystem while ensuring data quality, platform stability, and successful end-to-end execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the data engineering platform that powers suggestion generation for pharmaceutical sales representatives.
• Design and build scalable, reusable Python modules that can support multiple countries and business requirements.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and modern Python development practices to create maintainable solutions.
• Work within agile development teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
• Support the migration of the suggestion generation platform to a new CRM system, including:
• Updating use case and data pipelines.
• Performing end-to-end run checks.
• Validating generated suggestions and underlying data.
• Executing and supporting migration and cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot existing data and suggestion-generation pipelines, identify root causes, and implement robust fixes across AWS Step Functions, Glue, Athena, and Lambda.
• Apply modern engineering practices for code quality, testing, version control, and deployment.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10 years of data engineering experience, preferably with global or regional project exposure.
• Strong Python development skills, particularly:
• pandas for data processing and analysis.
• Object-oriented programming (OOP) and design principles.
• Modern Python development tools and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies, including:
• AWS Glue for ETL and data processing.
• Amazon Athena for data querying.
• DynamoDB for NoSQL data storage.
• AWS Step Functions and Lambda for workflow orchestration and serverless processing.
• Strong understanding of AWS-based cloud and data architectures.
• Experience working in agile development environments and with project management/development tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly for complex data pipelines.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of Veeva platforms or CRM systems used within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Previous experience working with pharmaceutical or healthcare data and business processes.
