Senior Data Engineer (Python | SQL Server | REST APIs) | Remote India

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer+ Developer with strong expertise in Python, SQL Server, and data pipeline development for a long-term remote assignment.

This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, transforming enterprise data, and enabling analytics and reporting solutions that drive business value.

Role Overview

Client's Location: Pune, India (Remote)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 1 year + possibilities of extensions

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and REST APIs

• Read, transform, and cleanse data for enterprise analytics use cases

• Design and optimize SQL Server queries and data models

• Automate data ingestion and reporting workflows

• Develop backend services and APIs using Flask

• Implement and support SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and RBAC

• Support reporting and dashboarding using Power BI

• Analyze datasets to support predictive and proactive service management

• Work in Agile/Scrum delivery environments

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Python and Data Engineering

• Strong experience with Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and JSON transformations

• Strong experience with SQL Server and complex query optimization

• Experience building REST API-based data pipelines

• Experience with Flask and backend API development

• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Azure AD / Entra ID

• Strong understanding of data warehousing and enterprise data modeling

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI dashboards and datasets

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
