Senior Data Engineer

Mandatory Skills:

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Hadoop, Data Modeling, and Cloudera Data Platform (CDP)
• Proficiency in PySpark with strong hands-on development experience
• Experience working with Cloudera ecosystem components including CDE, CDW, Ozone, Airflow, and SDX
• Good knowledge of Apache Ranger for data security and governance
• Deep understanding of distributed data systems and Hive Metastore
• Strong experience in data cataloging, lineage, and governance frameworks
• Understanding and implementation experience of Open Data Contract Standard (ODCS)
• Hands-on experience with SQL, file formats such as Iceberg/Parquet, and data optimization techniques like partitioning and bucketing

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in modernizing enterprise finance systems or working in regulated environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and data engineering best practices
• Understanding of financial data structures, accounting processes, or reconciliation workflows
