About Position:
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Lead with strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Data Warehousing to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust ELT pipelines, implementing data transformation frameworks, ensuring data quality, and driving best practices across modern cloud-based analytics ecosystems. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformation pipelines using dbt (Data Build Tool) on Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for analytics and reporting use cases.
- Build and manage ELT pipelines within Snowflake leveraging dbt models (staging, intermediate, marts layers).
- Implement incremental data processing, snapshots, and slowly changing dimensions using dbt best practices.
- Perform data ingestion and integration from multiple sources (APIs, flat files, legacy systems) into Snowflake.
- Design and maintain data warehouse architecture (star/snowflake schema) for analytical workloads.
- Ensure data quality by implementing validation tests, data profiling, and monitoring using dbt tests and frameworks.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, partitioning, query tuning, and warehouse management.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), data security, and governance within Snowflake environment.
- Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams to deliver curated datasets and business insights.
- Maintain technical documentation including data models, lineage, and transformation logic.
- Participate in architecture discussions, performance tuning, and cost optimization initiatives.

Expertise You'll Bring:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL development / Data Engineering / Data Warehousing roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (writing complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with dbt (models, macros, snapshots, tests, documentation).
- Strong experience working on Snowflake cloud data platform (data loading, transformations, performance optimization).
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema).
- Experience with ELT pipelines and modern data stack architecture.
- Knowledge of incremental loading, CDC, and data versioning techniques.
- Experience with data quality, validation frameworks, and testing methodologies in dbt.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP and data orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF preferred).
- Good understanding of data governance, access control, and security practices in Snowflake.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
