Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions within enterprise retail platforms hosted in Azure. This role is highly hands-on and focused on developing robust data pipelines, optimizing SQL performance, and implementing best practices in Snowflake and SQL Server environments. The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate closely with Leads and Managers to deliver high-quality data architecture solutions aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced in large-scale data processing environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines and transformations.
• Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries and data models.
• Work extensively with: Snowflake and SQL Server
• Ensure performance tuning and query optimization across environments.
• Support data architecture design and implementation efforts.
• Maintain data integrity, quality, and consistency standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration initiatives.
• Contribute to documentation and technical best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Expert-level SQL knowledge (complex queries, performance tuning, optimization).
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL Server.
• Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data transformation frameworks.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Python for data processing, scripting, or automation.
• Retail industry experience.
• Experience with CI/CD for data workflows.
• Exposure to data governance practices.
