Senior Data Engineer

Role Purpose :

The Senior Data Engineer – MDM will be responsible for designing, building, and

supporting enterprisescale Master Data Management solutions for company's

global data platform. The role focuses on ensuring consistency, quality, and

governance of master data across domains such as Customer, Product, Supplier,

and Materials.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement MDMcentric data pipelines aligned withcompany's global data architecture

Develop and manage data ingestion and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory

Implement data transformation, standardization, validation, and matching logic using Python

Design and manage Snowflake data models supporting master data and golden record creation

Apply data quality checks, survivorship rules, deduplication, and reconciliation mechanisms

Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand master data definitions, hierarchies, and rules

Support data governance and compliance requirements, including metadata, lineage, and audit controls

Optimize performance and reliability of data pipelines and MDM processes

Provide production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

Strong experience in Master Data Management concepts, including:

o Golden record management

o Match & merge logic

o Survivorship and hierarchy management

o Data quality frameworks

Handson experience with Python for data processing and rule

implementation

Strong expertise in Snowflake, including:

o Advanced SQL

o Data modeling and optimization

o Handling enterprisescale datasets

Handson experience with Azure Data Factory

o Pipeline design and orchestration

o Parameterization and monitoring

Solid understanding of ETL / ELT design patterns and cloud data

architectures

Experience working in large, global enterprise environments

Preferred / Good to Have :

Exposure to commercial MDM platforms (Informatica, Reltio, Semarchy,

Profisee, etc.)

Experience with data governance tools (Microsoft Purview or equivalent)

Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, or product master data

Understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)

Experience with BI or analytics consumption (Power BI or similar)
