Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms that power business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, AWS, SQL, and modern data engineering practices, with experience building high-performance data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build and optimize data solutions using Python, AWS, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Modernize legacy data platforms and support on-premises to cloud migration initiatives.
• Develop scalable data models, preferably using Kimball dimensional modeling.
• Ensure data quality, governance, reliability, and performance across data platforms.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Work with AWS services including Redshift, S3, Athena, and Glue (preferred).
• Optimize cloud-based data warehouses and distributed data processing systems.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow data engineering best practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (MSSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Redshift, S3, Athena); exposure to Snowflake and AWS Glue is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling (Kimball preferred).
• Experience with cloud migration and modern data architectures.
• AWS Data Analytics/ML certification is a plus.
• Exposure to Media & Marketing Analytics, GCP, or BI tools is an advantage.
