Senior Data Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the client for requirements, priorities, deliverables, and project coordination.
• Conduct discussions with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical tasks and actionable deliverables.
• Coordinate with Data Engineering, QA, and deployment teams to ensure smooth project execution. Track project timelines, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues and provide regular status updates.
• Review existing Python scripts, Excel-based inputs/outputs, ETL processes, and data workflows and identify areas for product ionization and optimization.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend best-fit technical solutions and approaches. Support data validation, UAT, issue resolution, documentation, and knowledge transfer. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are implemented as per client expectations.
• Identify potential project risks and dependencies and proactively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Strong Data Engineering, ETL, SQL & Python
• Good AWS knowledge
• Strong client/stakeholder management & communication
• Experience in requirement gathering & project coordination
• Exposure to Databricks / CI-CD / orchestration is a plus
