Position: Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day data operations, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with business objectives.

Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and development of ETL pipelines, data governance, and processes using Dataiku and SQL.

Design, write, and optimize Snowflake analytical and complex SQL queries.

Continuously review and optimize data processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Collaborate closely with onshore stakeholders (Data & Analytics Leads, Business Units, IT) to define and implement data strategies.

Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and high-performing technical solutions.

Build strong working relationships with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless execution.

Maintain and publish status reports, lead governance meetings, and track delivery milestones.

Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.

Monitor data quality issues and work with teams to implement corrective actions.

Manage offshore reporting teams to deliver dashboards and reports with actionable insights.

Communicate regularly with senior leadership on project status, risks, and team performance.

Prepare presentations and reports summarizing key outcomes, initiatives, and business value delivered.

Desired Profile / Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

35 years of hands-on experience with ETL tools (Dataiku) and SQL (Snowflake, MS SQL, Oracle).

Strong technical background in data engineering and ETL frameworks.

Experience with Snowflake analytical SQL and complex queries is mandatory.

Familiarity with DBT, Airflow, and advanced SQL analysis queries is a plus.

Experience managing cross-functional teams including data analysts and engineers.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proven experience managing SLAs and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies for data projects.

Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a strong plus.
