Role: Senior Data Operations Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 12 months+ (With a Possibility-of-Extension)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Work Hours: 3:30am - 12:30pm EST
Location: 100% Remote
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support enterprise data operations, pipeline optimization, and cloud data platform management within a modern data stack environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and optimize scalable data pipelines (ELT/ETL)
- Support Snowflake-based data warehouse and Databricks/Azure data environments
- Monitor and improve data pipeline performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain SQL and Python-based data solutions
- Work with orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory
- Perform code reviews, testing, and ensure data quality standards
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and engineers to support data needs
- Implement automation and process improvements across data workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Operations
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms
- Experience with DBT, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
