Avigna is hiring Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the team to build, support, and drive customer innovations, bringing efficiency to business processes through effective management of cost, quality, and delivery.

Mode of work: 100% Remote

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high‑performance data engineering solutions using modern cloud and big data technologies.
• Build and optimize large‑scale data pipelines with strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Perform hands‑on coding, debugging, and tuning of data processing workflows using Python and PySpark.
• Implement and support data governance, quality, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned deliverables as an individual contributor, ensuring timely and high‑quality outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
• Proactively recommend optimized technical approaches aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.
• Drive innovation by leveraging automation, AI capabilities, and modern data engineering methodologies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability, scalability, and overall performance.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands‑on experience in data engineering within cloud‑based environments.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data transformation and processing.
• Experience working with AWS services, Databricks, Snowflake, and AI‑driven solutions.
• Solid problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
