Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management
- Gather and consolidate healthcare data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), medical claims, patient surveys, and clinical trials
- Clean, transform, and organize medical data sets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency for analysis
Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to analyze medical data and identify patterns, trends, and insights related to patient demographics, disease prevalence, treatment outcomes, and healthcare utilization
- Collaborate with medical professionals to interpret data findings and translate them into actionable recommendations for improving medical services and patient care
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to medical services
- Monitor performance trends over time and provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and regulatory agencies
Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Support quality improvement initiatives by conducting root cause analysis, benchmarking against industry standards, and identifying opportunities for process optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven interventions and evaluate their impact on patient outcomes and healthcare delivery
Regulatory Compliance and Data Governance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and data security standards in the collection, storage, and analysis of medical data
- Establish and maintain data governance processes, including data documentation, metadata management, and data quality assurance
