Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead a team of analysts, drive data quality and governance, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine strong people management capabilities with hands-on analytical expertise across SQL, Python, visualization tools, automation, and reporting systems.

Job Summary:

1. Lead analytical initiatives to transform raw data into actionable insights that guide strategic and operational decision-making.
2. Develop, automate, and optimize dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical models to support cross-functional teams.
3. Partner with business stakeholders to define analytical requirements, identify gaps, and recommend data-driven solutions.
4. Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across analytics and reporting processes.
5. Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists to holistically achieve data related needs of the department and produce high quality data insights and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee end-to-end data collection, cleansing, validation, and analysis to ensure decision-ready, high-quality datasets.
2. Lead the development and governance of dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks to provide consistent and actionable insights.
3. Direct exploratory analysis, trend evaluation, and root-cause investigations to identify risks,
4. opportunities, and performance drivers.
5. Interact, manage and understand stakeholder requirements and advanced analytics functions that support forecasting and strategic business planning.
6. Maintain and manage data repositories, data tables and data frames for easy reproducibility, storage and retrieval.
7. Support and manage documentation and reporting requirements, work closely with Intelligence and Reporting teams to ensure data processing and data visualizations

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum qualification:

1. MSc in data science, data analytics or MBA in Business Analytics or related field, candidates with a bachelor's degree and relevant professional working experience may be considered case to case.
2. 5+ years of experience, in data management, data analytics or data science roles, preferably across consultation, finance or FMCG domains.
3. Strong knowledge and experience working with MS office and G-Suites.
4. Expertise in any one visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Looker etc.
5. Intermediate proficiency in Python for data analysis, data manipulation, reporting automation, and data visualization using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar tools.

Additional qualifications

1. Strong understanding of data validation, quality governance, and metrics.
2. Excellent analytical abilities, problem solving skills and stakeholder management skills.
3. Up to 3 years of experience in managing and developing analytical teams.
4. Experience leading analytics functions in a fast-paced business environment is a plus.
5. Basic familiarity with statistical methodologies and tools(R, STATA) is an added advantage.
