Job Description

The role is responsible for providing support to the Data, Analytics and Reporting team - Multi-Manager Solutions & Investment Consultancy team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, an Ameriprise Financial company. The roles is to improve analytical tools, enhance operational efficiency and ensure effective delivery under strict timelines. The individual will also support the development, articulation, and enablement of Columbia Threadneedle Data & Analytics initiative and firm-wide strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Multi-Manager Solutions and Investment Consultancy teams; develop, execute and run reporting and analysis on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis

Develop data pipelines, maintenance of data and data system integrity to both extract information and provide insights, including automation, data sourcing, architecture, and systems used to collect data

evelop and consolidate Python and R code for use in developing team dashboards

Maintain code and processes that are used within the Data Analytics and Reporting team

Help develop, alongside technology teams, processes to on-board and prepare datasets for further analysis

Collaborate with other analysts to contribute to help develop analytical applications and analyze investment research related data

Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Develops competence by performing structured documentation, automation, etc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or any related fields and/or MBA (Finance) and/or pursuing CFA

3 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics

Outstanding quantitative/analytical/statistical skills and the ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data

Exceptional communication skills (needs to effectively work and stay in touch with global colleagues across different business units)

Proficient in programming in Python, knowledge of R and other programming languages such as SQL is a plus

Excellent organizational and project management skills to track and manage multiple deliverables with various process steps and deadlines

Team player and collaborative, but can also work autonomously, both with a critical focus on ensuring consistent delivery

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with 3rd party analytical tools employed by team (Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin, Wilshire, eVestment, Lipper, Morningstar, etc.)

Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week.
