Customer Experience Design (CXD) organization is founded on delivering the Delta Brand experience via welcoming, elevating, and caring service, offering distinctive and premium choices to our customers across all destinations, and personalizing the experience to create memorable connections and deepened relationship with Delta. The Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) team within CXD is on a mission to create a highly personalized and engaging digital onboard environment that drives higher NPS and Delta revenue through 2 core products: fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi and Delta Sync seatback, our personalized seatback screen experience.
Key Responsibilities
This candidate will be part of a high-performing, fast-paced team that ensures the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our data infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for data validation, testing automation, and optimizing AWS-based data process to support analytics, reporting, and customer insights.
The Data Testing and AWS Specialist is responsible for implementing robust data quality frameworks and monitoring cloud-based data processes, that will help maintain the integrity of our data ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in data validation, expertise in AWS-based data infrastructure, and a deep understanding of data governance best practices. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that accurate, well-structured data is available for decision-making, supporting business intelligence and customer engagement analysis across Delta's onboard digital platforms.
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute test cases for data validation and quality assurance.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and anomalies.
- Implement automated data testing frameworks to streamline validation processes.
- Maintain documentation of test cases, testing frameworks and data validation processes.
- Collaborate with IT, Product, and Analytics teams to align data quality initiatives.
- Develop, monitor and maintain data processes in AWS environments.
- Assist in automating data workflows and troubleshooting cloud-based data issues
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or statistics
- 4-7 Years Expert in SQL and strong experience in Python
- Hands-on experience with AWS Services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, etc.)
- Familiarity with data testing tools and automation frameworks
- High attention to detail, solution-oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
