Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in e-commerce domain using data analytics to join our Data Analytics team. This role will partner closely with payments space stakeholders delivering high-quality insights, robust reporting, anddata models thatsupport data driven decision-making andoperational excellence.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, is proficient in SQL (8/10), and has hands-on expertise with Tableau (preferred) or Power BI. You enjoy working with complex data, building scalable reporting, and translating business questions into clear, data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business questions, reporting needs, and analytical requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain SQL-based datasets, views, and queries to support recurring and ad hoc analysis.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau (preferred) or Power BI, ensuring they are accurate, reliable, and user-friendly.
- Support BAU work & ad-hoc analysis and critical projects in the payments space.
- Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with data engineering and other analytics teams for collaboration, improving data models, data quality, and documentation across Payments domains.
- Translate complex findings into clear narratives and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, including presentations and written summaries.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automation and standardization for recurring Finance/Accounting reporting and metrics.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or in Analyticsrole.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning). Familiarity with dbtCloud concepts is a plus.
- Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and reports in Tableau (preferred) or Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience working in the e-commerce domain.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive actionable insights.
- Proven ability to work with non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
- Bachelor's degree in finance,Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Fintech space is preferred.
- Familiarity with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and modern data stacks.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and/or workflow orchestration tools is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in Python or advanced analytics, if needed.
