Senior Data Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support data discovery, source-to-target mapping, and data integration initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and Analytics teams to analyse source systems, document data lineage, create mapping specifications, and ensure data is accurately prepared for migration, reporting, and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on SQL experience, and a solid understanding of data integration and data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform data discovery and analyse source systems to understand data structures and relationships.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mapping (STTM) documentation for data migration and integration projects.
• Conduct data profiling and assess data quality to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Document data lineage, transformation rules, and business logic.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, and Analytics teams to support ETL and data integration activities.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Produce clear technical documentation, mapping specifications, and functional documents.
• Support data migration, warehouse, and analytics projects by validating data accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are translated into effective data solutions.

Experience

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Proven experience creating source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Experience with data profiling and data quality assessment.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting ETL, data migration, or data warehouse projects.
• Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create clear technical and business specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or modern cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with data governance and metadata management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
