Job Description

As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist - Strategy & Programs at Medtronic, you will play a critical role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture through robust data analysis and reporting. You'll compile and analyze large datasets, develop interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, and provide data-driven insights to leadership. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while continuously improving our reporting capabilities.

A Day in the Life

You will drive cybersecurity strategic initiatives through data by:

  • Compiling and analyzing large datasets from multiple data sources.
  • Developing and maintaining interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports using BI tools, such as Power BI.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all reporting outputs.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify key metrics and reporting needs to support decision-making processes.
  • Providing actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and providing innovative solutions independently.
  • Continuously improving reporting processes, data visualization techniques, and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staying up to date on BI tools, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Communicating complex data findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and upholding proactive measures to ensure the highest level of data security while creating and managing reports.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation, with a focus on BI tools like Power BI.
  • Proven experience with Power BI and other BI Tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and think outside the box for innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with various data sources and databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a forward-thinking mindset to anticipate future needs.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Consciousness of best data security practices.

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.
  • Experience in scripting languages for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with machine learning models and predictive analytics.
  • Experience working in a large organization.
