Role Summary

The Senior IMS/VoLTE Customer Technical Lead is experienced in the deployment, testing, and integration of IMS/telecom network elements in an OpenStack or Kubernetes Cloud environment. This a hands-on, technical role including deployment, trouble shooting and issue resolution. In depth understanding of telecom Protocols and technologies like SIP, SDP, H.248, MGCP, DNS and DIAMETER. It also requires good communication skills in working with internal and external vendor support groups.

Key Responsibilities

- Understands the customer requirements and prepares test plan for the cloud-based IMS solutions. Engineer needs to executes test cases as per test plan and update status internally / towards customer.

- Implements solution and integration with other network elements. Well versed with the call flow scenarios.

- Runs scripts, execute commands to deploy, test, troubleshoot virtualized IMS network functions.

- Requires close collaboration and communication with onshore & offshore colleagues and with customers.

- Create project related documentation such as method of procedures, acceptance testing documentation, high and low-level designs

- Escalate to the Technical Delivery Manager any critical blocking items which require their attention

- Review and update all bug tracking system entries to ensure R&D have accurate data.

- Participate in the work streams to improve the product debug capabilities

- Provide Tier3 level support during outages for the projects that you were involved with

Job Requirements

Engineering degree Computer Science/ Electronics Engineering Degree with 8+ yrs of experience.

Rich experience in IMS core entities, with extensive experience in SIP call processing and SIP supplementary services.

Hands on experience in deployment of IMS network elements (like SBC, IMS core, TAS, RCS, RBM, IPSMGW) in cloud environment.

Excellent debugging skills in identifying and resolving the issues during the deployment of IMS, VoLTE, Messaging solutions.

Experience in TLS, TCP, IPSEC, IP, DIAMETER, DNS protocols

Good experience working with UNIX (RHEL, CentOS)

Hands on experience in deployment of OpenStack and Containerized cloud environments.

Knowledge on Session Border Controller, NAT, Firewall, Authentication Encryption, L2 Layer switches (Routers/Switches).

Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routes, switching stack.

Sound communication skills

Work experience in Fixed Line IMS, vEPC, vRAN is an added advantage.
