About the Role:
The Senior CSA Designer will be expected to carry out 3D modeling, steel drawings, foundation drawings and civil drawings of various kinds of structures and modules. The employee will be expected to carry out engineering drawings for concrete structures, foundations and general civil drawings including stormwater drawings. The employee will also be accountable for completing tasks within a given time frame. Reports to: Lead CSA Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Execute the 3D modeling and engineering drawings for assigned projects using sound design principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering inputs, development of 3D models and development of engineering drawings for various structures and foundations.
- Structure Piperacks, equipment and process platforms, shelters, towers, etc.
- Foundations horizontal and vertical vessels, pump, cooling tower, compressor foundations, combined mat foundations, etc.
- Ensure conformance to applicable standards and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to interpret and set the drawings requirements per applicable codes, including AISC, ACI, PIP, AWS, etc.
- Work on modular design and drafting of pipe racks, power generation, gas compression, water injection, process modules and skids etc. (for Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry applications).
- Perform design assistance to the Lead/Senior CSA Engineer in performing of various structures and modules.
- Ability to prepare structural drawings for existing steel and concrete structures.
- Coordinate with sub-vendor for shop drawings.
- Participate in review of 3D model, shop drawings, MTO, etc. provided by sub vendor.
- Participate in clarification of queries from fabrication yard related to structural.
- Communicate and coordinate between different design disciplines fostering alignment and collaboration.
- Participate in 30%, 60% and 90% 3D model review meetings with stakeholder/customer.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
- Protect the intellectual property rights of the company.
- Carry out tasks at the direction of the lead CSA engineer in the Pune office or the CSA manager in the absence of the lead CSA engineer.
- Perform the duty of drawing checker.
- Ability to perform independently and to be a Lead designer on jobs.
Qualifications:
- High School (High school diploma) Diploma or equivalent.
- Design/Drafting Certificate (Trades certificate/diploma) or a minimum of 10 years of related job experience in industrial oil & gas, petrochemical or refinery facilities.
