Role Description The Senior Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for guiding students through the entire overseas education journey. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed counseling sessions, understanding students academic profiles and career goals, and recommending suitable universities and programs. The role involves managing application workflows, supporting documentation and deadlines, and coordinating with international institutions and internal teams. The Senior Counselor will also provide visa and pre-departure guidance, conduct information sessions or workshops, and maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress. This position requires a strong focus on student experience, ethical counseling practices, and meeting individual and team targets.
Qualifications

  • Strong counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to assess student profiles and provide clear, unbiased guidance on academic and career pathways.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, families, universities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases, applications, deadlines, and follow-ups effectively.
  • Knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements for key destinations such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools and CRM or student management systems to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Prior experience in overseas education consulting, academic counseling, or related fields; experience in a senior or mentoring capacity is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in education, counseling, psychology, or management is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, collaborate within a team environment, uphold high professional and ethical standards, and adapt to a dynamic, target-driven setting.
