The Role
We're hiring a Senior Copywriter to own creative ad copy across Meta, Google, and emerging platforms. You'll be the person the performance team turns to when CTR flatlines, the person who cracks the hook that takes a campaign from scaling-slowly to scaling-stupidly, and the person who mentors our junior writers into killers.
This is a craft + leadership role. You'll write daily, but you'll also set the creative bar for the entire copy function.
What You'll Actually Do
Write (60%)
- Own ad copy end-to-end: hooks, headlines, primary text, scripts for video ads and UGC-style reels, static creative copy, and landing page messaging.
- Crack concept-first campaigns — big ideas that work as a Meta carousel, a 15-second reel script, and a Google RSA all at once.
- Write and iterate at performance speed: 10 hook variations before lunch, not one perfect line by Friday.
- Develop messaging frameworks per brand — angles, objections, awareness stages, proof points — so every ad ladders into strategy, not vibes.
Lead (25%)
- Mentor junior copywriters — brief them, edit them, level them up. Your edits should teach, not just fix.
- Run creative reviews and push back (with reasons) when work isn't strong enough to ship.
- Partner with designers and video editors to make sure copy and visual are one idea, not two.
Optimize (15%)
- Live in the data with the performance team: read CTR, thumb-stop ratio, hook rate, and CPA — then diagnose why creative won or died.
- Build and maintain a winning-hooks library across accounts so the agency compounds learning instead of starting from zero.
- Run structured copy testing roadmaps: angle tests, hook tests, format tests.
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of copywriting experience, with at least 2 years writing direct-response / performance ad copy that went live with real spend behind it.
- A portfolio with results attached — this hook took CTR from 0.9% to 2.1% beats any award.
- Fluency in Meta and Google ad formats — you know character limits, placements, and what dies in the first 3 seconds.
- Strong video/UGC scripting chops — hooks, pattern interrupts, and CTAs that don't feel like CTAs.
- English + Hindi/Hinglish writing fluency — a lot of what converts in India isn't written in the Queen's English.
- Editing and feedback skills — you can make a junior's draft 2x better in 15 minutes and explain why.
- Comfort with AI writing tools as an accelerant, not a crutch — you can out-write the machine and know when to use it.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Agency experience across multiple verticals (D2C, healthcare/skincare, travel, ed-tech).
- Experience writing for regulated categories (pharma, alcohol/surrogate, finance) where creativity has to dance inside compliance.
- Landing page / CRO copywriting experience.
- A personal brand, newsletter, or social presence that shows you practice what you pitch.
